He is currently a Clinical Professor in the Department of Surgery, Division of Plastic Surgery at the University of British Columbia, and Attending Clinical Staff at British Columbia Children’s Hospital and Vancouver General Hospital/Vancouver Coastal Health. At Children’s & Women’s he is currently Vice-President of the Medical Staff Association and the Associate Chief of Surgery. He is also an Associate Member of the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia.

Dr. Arneja currently sits on the Non-Hospital Committee and Incident Review Panel at the College of Physicians & Surgeons of BC, which regulates aspects of the practice of medicine in BC. He is also a member of the Executive Committee for the American Association of Pediatric Plastic Surgeons/American Academy of Pediatrics Section of Plastic Surgery. He is actively involved in teaching and conducting research at UBC, as well as participating as an Editorial Board Member and Journal Reviewer for a variety of Plastic Surgical Journals.

He continues to actively contribute to the community, and is currently involved with the United Way. He has also been a Medical Services Physician during the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver, as well as the 1999 Pan-American Games in Winnipeg. In addition, he volunteers his time to participate with Smile Train, performing and teaching Plastic Surgery in low and middle income countries internationally.
